We at Intuit Healing first hand understand the excitement, fear, and preparation that goes into becoming a parent - if it is for the first time our the fourth! That is why we have created birth education classes for your upcoming birth.

Our classes are led by Doula Kassie Leachman with her wealth of knowledge she has gained in birthing rooms, career, evidence based practice, and her own personal experience- Kassie guides our class attendees from a space of doubt to a space of knowledge. We never know what will happen during birth- But Kassie can and will prepare you for all your wants, and needs during that pivotal day(s)!

Birth education description

We have designed a 4 week course that meets once a week tuesdays at 6pm-8pm or a weekend intensive that covers the same materials but over a 2 day weekend. This class is held for 4 hours on a saturday and sunday. Each class is $350.

In our class we believe there is no “right way” to give birth. We do believe in education, and that knowledge is power. Again, we never know what can happen in the birthing room, chair, pool, table, bed! And we want you and your supporter to have all of the information you both need so you can feel safe, supported, and empowered on this journey.

  • Birth preferences

  • Signs + stages of labor

  • Hormones in pregnancy, birth, + postpartum

  • Positions, movements, comfort measures, + breathing techniques for labor + birth

  • Medical interventions

  • Early postpartum care

  • Newborn characteristics

  • Feeding

  • Caring for the postpartum parent

Birth share add on

Our birth Share add on is created for anyone who has completed our class. Every third weekend of the month we open our doors and welcome you to come and share your post birth experience. This is a circle of peers who understand all that can happen in a birthing space. We have seen and felt how it has changed us, and our relationships. In this circle we share our stories, our joys, our pains, and our disappointments. With others who can truly see us and understand our experience. This is a step towards healing, and step towards community. The first step to healing is acknowledgment.

SATURDAYS 2pm-5pm BIRTHING PARENT ONLY

Saturdays we welcome all whom have given birth. This is a space to come and share your experience to begin processing what has happened. To aid you in your postpartum experience.

SUNDAYS 2pm-5pm WITNESSING PARENT ONLY

Sundays we welcome all whom have witnessed their child’s birth. This is a space where you can begin processing what you and your partner have gone through, so you can better support your person in the postpartum process, and understand yourself inside this moment more clearly.

ADD ONS ONLY MEET EVERY 3RD WEEKEND OF THE MONTH. ADD ON IS GOOD FOR ONE SHARE CIRCLE. ADD ON EXPIRES AFTER 6 MONTHS AS WE ARE ONLY SHARING OUR RECENT BIRTH EXPERIENCES.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE USING A SURROGATE ALL PARENTS AND BIRTHING PEOPLE ARE WELCOME TO OUR CLASSES.
