Body Image Group Therapy for Femmes
This supportive processing therapy group is designed for femmes to explore their relationship with their bodies in a safe, empathetic environment. Facilitated by a licensed therapist, the group offers a space to share experiences, build an understanding of bodies through the male gaze and patriarchal standards, and explore our relationships with food and exercise. Through guided discussions, participants will gain tools to build body neutrality, increase self-esteem, and foster a healthier, more accepting self-image. Topics covered will include growing up in the 90's "almond mom" culture, pornography, social media, movement vs. exercise, chronic illness, motherhood, and more. It’s an invitation to come as you are, find community, and reframe the way you see yourself—both in your own eyes and in the world around you.
12 week program meets every Thursday, January 9th- March 27th
