AUTONOMOUS movement

In this workshop, you will learn the basics of body mechanics in order to empower individual choice, modifications, and self-awareness. These skills are vital in taking ownership over your everyday movements, postures, and can be especially helpful to have in things like group fitness/dance classes, sports, or at-home workouts where you don't have an instructor guiding your form. We will explore a variety of Dance and Pilates-inspired shapes, exercises, range of motions, and learn how to adapt any movement to appropriately meet you and your body where you are.

Please wear comfortable to move in clothes and bring a yoga mat if you have one. Journal or something to write on is also encouraged for reflection.
