We know meditation complements & enhances other wellness practices like massage therapy, so we offer lots of classes to make sure you have one that fits in your schedule.

What is Yoga Nidra?

Yoga Nidra, often referred to as "yogic sleep," is a powerful relaxation technique that guides you into a state of conscious deep sleep. Unlike traditional sleep, Yoga Nidra allows you to enter a meditative state between wakefulness and sleep, where your body can deeply relax while your mind remains aware.

A typical Yoga Nidra session at Intuitive Healing lasts about one hour. During this time, you will be guided through various stages of relaxation, including:

  1. Settling and Comfort: You will lie down in a comfortable position, often supported by cushions and blankets, to ensure complete relaxation.

  2. Intention Setting: You will be asked to set a personal intention or resolve, known as Sankalpa, which acts as a guiding principle for your practice.

  3. Body Scan: A guided body scan helps you become aware of & release physical tension.

  4. Breath Awareness: Focusing on the breath deepens relaxation & prepares the mind for meditation.

  5. Visualizations & Imagery: Guided imagery and visualizations help to tap into the subconscious mind & promote healing.

  6. Integration: The session concludes with a period of silence & integration, allowing the benefits of the practice to settle in.
