Winter Meditation Circle

Winter Meditation Circle for Restoration and Reconnection

Join this guided meditation session to offer your body, mind, and spirit a deep sense of restoration and compassion. Through mindful breathing, intention-setting, body-sensing, and somatic pendulation, you will be invited to relax into a state of hibernation and re-emerge with a renewed sense of connection to yourself and the world around you. Together, we will use imagery to generate warmth and positive energy to carry with us after session.

This session does not require any previous meditation experience. We ask that you arrive open-minded to releasing pre-existing notions about what meditation “should” look like or what it means to be “good” at meditating. This session may engage awareness of and movement through challenging emotions. You will receive guidance on how to engage only to the degree that makes sense for you. Please bring your own mat and dress comfortably.

“Plants and animals don’t fight the winter; they don’t pretend it’s not happening and attempt to carry on living the same lives that they lived in the summer. They prepare. They adapt. They perform extraordinary acts of metamorphosis to get them through. Winter is a time of withdrawing from the world, maximising scant resources, carrying out acts of brutal efficiency and vanishing from sight; but that’s where the transformation occurs. Winter is not the death of the life cycle, but its crucible.”
